Amy Harrison Uses Beneficiary Designation to Support Adelphi’s Continued Success
If you are reading this, there is a good chance you’ve already met Amy Harrison MA ’92.
During her more than three decades at Adelphi, she has gotten to know thousands of alumni, students, faculty, and friends through her various roles, including graduate student, serving in the Provost’s Office, Director of Alumni Relations, and, currently, as Assistant Vice President of University Advancement.
With her retirement on the horizon, Amy is now literally putting her money where her mouth is by creating a planned gift. Already a member of the Women’s Giving Circle, Amy has now named Adelphi as a beneficiary of her retirement plan, something that has grown generously during her time at the University.
Working to promote Adelphi’s mission over the years, Amy has seen how easy it is to include the University in an estate plan. By taking that step herself, she is putting her words into action.
“Adelphi has been around for 130 years, and we fully expect it to continue,” Amy says. “I feel privileged to have worked most of my life in such a wonderful community.”
Amy loves that Adelphi is small enough to have a personal impact on its students but large enough to let them “dream big.” That’s why she urges others to join her in making a planned gift.
“Planned gifts are really the unsung hero of the University,” Amy says. “I know my unrestricted gift will have an important impact and will be in good hands, supporting Adelphi’s future success.”
